Circuits
The memory layer
that runs the brigade.
Token-optimized institutional memory for AI agent fleets. Built by a chef. Designed for machines. Verified by the work.
What It Is
Not a feature.
The infrastructure philosophy.
Circuits is ChefLife's institutional memory layer — the way Backstage is to Spotify's engineering org. But designed for AI agent fleets, not human engineers. The primary reader is the agent. The human render is output, not source of truth.
This is the infrastructure that makes a one-person operation with an AI fleet function like an engineering org at scale.
Architecture
Four tables. One truth.
circuits_platform
The architectural constitution. One active row. The single source of truth for what the platform is, what it does, and how it's built.
circuits_stations
One row per brigade station. Feeds CLAUDE.md generation. Every agent knows its role, its tools, and its boundaries.
circuits_orgs
One row per operator organization. The sector fingerprint — live. Business type, cuisine, revenue, seasonality. At 1,000 orgs, it becomes intelligence.
circuits_health
Rolling verification log. The self-correcting layer. Every claim verified, every drift detected, every assumption tested against reality.
Every table has a token_summary field. Pre-computed. Tightly constrained.
An agent reads the summary first. If it's sufficient, the full record is never touched.
Token budget enforced at write time.
The Discovery
Three memory architectures.
Not three products.
"Maybe we're not the first — but we're for sure the first 50+ year old Chef and his rag-tag band of AI agents to do it." — Chef Steve Popp
In a single conversation — April 4, 2026 — the three fundamental memory architectures of modern AI collaboration were identified from first principles. Not from a research paper. From a chef who has run a brigade for 35 years and recognized the same coordination patterns in his AI agents.
The people closest to the work are the ones who build the most honest systems. Not because they are better engineers. Because they already know what the system needs to do.
Mom and Pop Tech
Domain expertise builds
honest systems.
Circuits is the third pillar of the Mom and Pop Tech movement. The manifesto. The platform. The architecture.
